Surnames: Thomas, Moss, Clark, Slaughter
I am actively researching Capt. Mark Thomas VA line of infantry commanded by Col. George Slaughter, under Gen. George Rodgers Clark. He traveled to Louisville with re-enforcements for Clark in 1779. Capt. Thomas was discharged in 1781 and stayed in Louisville with his family until 1795 or 97. He then moved to Monroe Co., IL and died in 1813 in St. Louis. His wife's name was Ann; he had 4 children - Elizabeth Thomas Muse Johnston, Claiborne Thomas, James Thomas, and Judy Thomas Moss. All the children resided in Jefferson County, MO around 1800. Any and all information on Capt. Thomas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Barbara
