Thanks. I have a bunch of them. If you have military records, you might look up Lazarus Knapp (or Knepp), who was wounded at Palo Alto in May 1846. I'd like to see the rest of his military record. I don't know when he died, tho' he didn't appear in the 1860 census with his family and his pension was stopped in 1857. Thanks. Amy

Amy this all I have on him, about all I can add is, if his father was Benjamin Isaacs Knapp, then he was born in 1824, and died some where in Michigan.

Mr. Benton presented the petition of Lazarus Knapp, a soldier in the late war with Mexico, praying to be allowed bounty land; which was referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Journal of the Senate of the United States of America, 1789-1873
TUESDAY, February 4, 1851.

Ordered, That the Committee on Pensions be discharged from the further consideration of the petition of Lazarus Knapp.

Thanks for your help. I believe Lazarus is the son of John Frederick Knapp (b.1801 in PA). I'll keep looking--and trying to connect him to some other Knapps in the USA. Amy
