That's the one. My great grandfather , William Worley, was also in Co. K, but was not sent into Alabama to Sulphur Branch Trestle, where so many Union soldiers were captured, sent to Cahaba and later ended up on the Sultana.

The Potter book lists your great grandfather as surviving the Sultana disaster, so based on your reply the info is accurate. Can you share any of his other experiences with the regiment before the sinking and/or what he did after the war?
