Have you tried Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie? That's where I finally found my GGGgrandfather, Elihu Henderson Swain, survivor of The Sultana. A monument was erected and dedicated to the the men who lost their lives on the Sultana.
Beech Grove Cemetery is Muncie's oldest and largest historical landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic places. The address is: 1400 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN. Ph.# (765) 741-1352 Fax (765) 747-4793
