What reference material do you have on Cahaba? I have two that survived the explosion:

Shetterson, Jno.(John), private .... company K, 18th Michigan Infantry and

Shetterson, Isadore, Private, Co K, 18th Michigan Infantry

This is the incorrect spelling of their surname, but seems to be what the records reflect. The actual spelling was Chattelreau, but most commonly seen as Shet(t)elroe.
