I am looking for a soldier that passed away that fateful night. His name was John Cornwell and he was a Union Prisoner of the Civil War. His wife was Lendamine Calkins Cornwell and his daughter Alice Lucetta Cornwell Campbell was my mothers paternal Grandmother. I found John on the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System. http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm John Cornwell of the 100 Ohio Infantry, Company A, went in as a corporal and out as a Sergeant.
