Hello Nancy
Christmas Greetings from the UK
Thanks for your reply. I hoped for a one-in-million chance, but not this time! Colorado is a long way from New York.

You say to look at the papers in the NY Library, could you please be specific!
My time will be very brief there, so i have to find the right museum then the data, then decide whether to research, there and then, or assess the data for a "proper visit" later in the year, perhaps in the spring.
I hope to get to the NY City museum where they have one of the medals, just to see it would be great.
Do you know of any photos of th San Fran or any models. I would like to see the construction. I recently received plans of the San Fran but they turned out to be outline drawings of the ship's hull were incomplete and gave no clue to the appearance of the ship.
You are no doubt aware of the many pieces of music, i have identified about ten.
I have not been able to trace much about Captain Crighton(Creighton.)if you know where he lived,(in America)and when he died that would be helpful to me. Anything you may want to know and that i have just ask.
I could send you a summary of my work, but i am not so sure that i like it to be public knowledge open to all, perhaps i am a little protective but seveal years work, a lot of time etc etc.
Thanks again, and sorry we cannot meet
Seasons Greetings to you and yours
Jim Bell
