My great grandfather, John Wren, was on the ship, The Atlantic. His brother in law, Daniel Kannane was also on the ship and his account of the accident appears in the New York Times and other papers as part of the investigation.
John Wren was coming to the US to join his brother, Edward Wren, who was already in the states.
Edward was married to Margaret Kinnane who was Daniel's sister. Daniel was on a buying trip in Ireland for the Kinnane and Wren Dry Goods Store in Lancaster and Springfield, Ohio.
