It seems, when her husband was still alive, in 1160 and 1692, she was accused of witchcraft because she was an outspoken Puritan woman, most were meek. Her husband sued for slander and won, but by 1692 her husband had passed away, and they came at her again. She was 67, and defenseless. They accused her of flying over muddy terrain, because when she got to her destination, her dress was clean....she probably lifted it. How absurd!
