Hi-I am indeed a Hopkins. Nancy Hopkins desc., from John Hopkins who landed in MASS Bay Colony in 1633. Who knows. Maybe we are related.Feel free to poke around my tree and see if you can find any connection.

I agree with you on Proctor. A man who was hung only because he protested at his wife's trial. The people who teach this play have no idea what's real and what isn't. I wish the teachers would tell the students that there was no romantic angle.In fact, it's ludicrous to even think of such a thing given what was going on and the times. It's also bad because 90% or more of people know nothing of the trials except what they remember from the play.

I am a descendant of one of Proctor's sisters, can't remember her name right now, so I've always considered Proctor an "uncle by blood" who was a victim.
