Reuben Putnam was born 1783 in Bethel Windsor, VT. He died in Palatine, Cook County, Illinois in 1859. His wife was Ellenah Abbott. Her dates were 1787-1875 Same places as her husband. Reubens parentage goes as follows:

Ebenezer Putnam (1738-1808)& Hannah Dike (1745-1832)

Holyoke Putnam b.1705 & Eunice Hutchinson (1712-1741)
Edward Putnam Jr. (1682-1755) & Sarah Miles (1686-1735)
Edward Putnam Sr. (1654-1747) & Mary Hale (1660-1747)

John Putnam (1579-1662) & Priscilla Gould (1582-1662)
all of the above Putnams descend from those in Salem, MA.
