Thank you for the reference to the book "A Witch in the Family" by Stephen Hawley Martin. Susannah (North) Martin is my step gr-gr...grandmother. I am related through George Martin's first wife Hannah Green b abt. 1624, m abt. 1643/44, d abt. 1645 and their only child, a daughter, also Hannah Green b 1 Feb 1843 who married A Worthen. I have been very interested is Susannah. If you Google: Susannah Martin transcript of witch trial, you will find a complete transcript of the trial and many references to the trial which is a facinating read and so very sad. If you read about how the charges came about, it is startling and unbelievable to us today.

You may be interested to know that she was pardoned only a few years ago through the work of descendants and interested parties. When reparations were paid in about 1720, not one descendant of hers applied for the money.
