Alden had to run away and hide, didn't he? Good for him or lucky for him that he had the means and contacts to do so. I read that one of the ministers of the 3 churches and his wife were also accused of witchcraft, but the magistrates wouldn't even accept an accusation.
BTW, if you are an Alden descendant you should read Robert Calef's description of his "trial". You may know this and I don't mean to patronize you, but the accusers had no idea who he was until someone identified him as John Alden.
