My husband is a direct descendant of the Putnam's. His great grandfather x 8 was Thomas Putnam Sr. It amazes me how so many people have theories about what happened in the 1600s and how there are discrepancies all over the internet.
What concerns me the most is when educational institutions use the movie "The Crucibile" as a historical documentation when it is filled with inacuracies. Those were horrible times and no one is overlooking the fact that innocent lives were taken. However innocent lives are taken everyday! 911, the Holocaust, 300 Protestants murdered under Queen Mary for not being Catholic, 40-60,000 supposed witches in Europe and countless innocent babies by abortions. We have to consider the source before we make an opinion.
