That is true UNLESS you are a board admin logged into your account you use as admin. Ancestry specifically set that up so admins could contact board posters whether or not they are paid subscribers.

I can't say if it is a working though since I'm a subscriber and can't check as a non-subscriber. If it is not working it is a glitch or change in policy.
