Good to hear from you. I don't know too much about the Rutherford/Releford side as it is a small branch of my tree. I'm not sure of the reunion location but feel it is in Rappahannock County. Your Mom is correct - Rutherford/Releford are the same family. I've heard different stories as to the two spellings: mispelled by census taker, riff in the family, brothers not getting along, etc. Who knows the true story. Georgia Rutherford's parents were William J. Rutherford (1872-1959) and Elnora K. Frazier (1875-1951)?
