The reunion/gathering is primarily for subscribers to the Holeman/Holman newsletter published by Roger and Merry Ann Malcolm of Illinois, but it is open to anyone, just as the newsletter is now open to anyone researching the surname. However, the newsletter has generally been for folks researching Holeman/Holmans in America. The earliest known ancestor that many subscribers descend from is Daniel Holman/Holeman who entered the Shenandoah Valley in 1736. The gathering is primarily for his descendants and those who may be connected. Plans are not made for the reunion program yet but I hope it will be of broader reserach interest than just Holmans in America.
