A Mynatt Reunion is planned for June 30, 2012 in Corryton, Tennessee, in the same area Richard Mynatt lived. As many of you already know, Richard Mynatt was the first Mynatt to come to the United States. Most Mynatts in the U.S. can trace their lineage back to Richard and his wife, Sarah.
The reunion is going to be a great opportunity for out-of-towners to see the area where Richard and his family lived, to visit cemeteries where many of their ancestors are buried, to hear stories that have been passed down through generations, and to meet the locals who have stayed in the area for 7+ generations. Lunch is included in the registration price ($15/person). We have an optional bus tour planned and t-shirts as well.
Also, we have suggested hotels for folks to stay while in the area which are not far from Corryton and on the way to the Smokies, for anyone interested in combining the reunion weekend with a visit to the #1 most visited national park in the country.
Space is limited. If you are interested, please email
mynattreunion@yahoo.com for more information, a registration form and more contact information.
