George served in Capt. Jacob Weston's company of loCal militia during the American Revolution. His name appears on the rolls in 1779 and 1780. The militia remained organized even after the war. Capt. Weston's company has records of meetings in 1783 and 1784. Penna. Archives, Fifth Series, Vol. VIII, page 510 has him serving as a Private, 7th class, 5th company, 6th Battalion, Northampton Go., Militia commanded by Henry Geiger. (Information in DAR records wrong for date of birth as 3/25/1754 and date of death as 10/15/1815) . There are a number of individuals who are members of the S.A.R. that descend from George. If you contact the S.A.R. you can find those memberships and get a copy of an application that someone has filed in the past to establish lineage.
