I'm just beginning to search the Pitneys in my family. My great, great grandmother was Marcia E. Pitney, born around 1842 somewhere in Ohio. She married William A. Watts (born in either Ohio or Canada) and after Ohio they lived for a time in Pennsylvannia and by about 1865 they were in Como, Hopkins Twp., Illinois. By 1880, they were in Cook County (Chicago, Ill.). Do you have any tips for me as to where to search in Ohio for Pitneys?
