Have you seen the book "Traveling with the Oregon Pioneers of 1853", by Donald Clark 2002?

Since a lot of the 1853 travelers went to Lane Co some of your family may be mentioned. He tells the stories by using diaries from those who traveled in 1853.

I helped him with some of the research and some of those names sound familiar.
