Hi Lori, We have an Ellen O'Brien (her maiden name) who married Thomas O'Brien, and who had previously lived in Potsdam (and Dickinson) with her parents, Michael and Mary O'Brien. Ellen died September 28, 1882, the day of the birth of she and Thomas' only son. She is buried in the Old Saint Mary's Cemetery in Potsdam, NY, in the same plot as her father. Even though this is not the Ellen you are searching for, I would like to find out about your O'Briens. I am compiling a database of St. Lawrence County O'Briens in hopes of establishing more O'Brien family connections and in trying to locate their emigration points in Ireland.
