I have been researching sneeds in WV for some time. I too have been stifled due to
the relationship of my great great grandfather who at one time lived in Lexington Virginia. His name was George
W. Sneed. He married Mary Polly Slough in
1826. Their children were John Allen,
Nancy, Susan, Mary Ann, and Jackson Sneed.

His father has been very elusive. I have
traced him from that area of Rockbridge county to his family then came to WV and
lived with some close Friends. Preston

I know I'm just a matter of time before we
connect to a long line of sneeds but It
has been very interesting.

I am currently looking at Henley Sneed from
Virginia. I know he had a child by the name of George Washington. I do know that
by a marriage bond that our George died in
or around 1840-1844 when his daughter Mary
Ann was married.
