There will be a reunion of descendants of Joseph (d.1803) and Nancy "Ann" Shepherd (1769-1844) of Petersburg VA at Ashe County Park in Jefferson, NC on July 13, 2013 at the Lakeview shelter beginning at 11AM. There will be a potluck lunch (share your favorites). There is a grill available. Contact me for more information. The park is very nice with a restroom, playground, lake and frisbee field available.

Edwin and Ann lived in Petersburg but Edwin and daughter Margaret moved to Ashe County, NC between 1857 - 1860. Alpha Badger b. 1860 in Ashe County is either Edwin's daughter or granddaughter (possibly Margaret's child). Alpha married Calvin Maxwell. Their daughter Virgina married Robert Lucian Ballou in Ashe County.
