William E Wax fought for the Union. He took a bullet in the leg that was never removed so that he walked with a limp the rest of his days. I think we may be related. If you are a descendant of Henry Geschwind Wax, the older brother of William Caldwell Wax, then we are definitely related. Henry married Martha Mary Miller in 1845 in Howkins County Tennessee. The same day, W C Wax married Lucretia Gillenwater. The other children in the family are Stokely Wax who married Elizabeth Smith, Sidney, Sus and Wlizabeth, James who married Nancy Hall and Nicholas Wax who married Macy Robinson.
