William Henry and Julia Ankney founded the village of Sweetwater, Idaho in 1908. Every year our village (population 80) has a community reunion and many Ankneys attend. 2010 reunion is on Saturday, August 7th. It is a community potluck with potluck, pie and cookie contests, as well as a parade and activities for kids. Cousin Twila has been gathering Ankney family information as part of a book about the Ankney families in the Pacific Northwest and our lineage.
