I'm not sure if we have any connection or not, but would love it if you could clarify. My great-great grandmother's name was Lucy Shaw, who married Matthew Irving (his second wife) around 1880 in the Dumfries area. Thier son, Matthew Stanely Shaw Irving, my great-grandfather, emigrated to Canada prior to marrying Emilie Gertrude Butterworth on Nov. 8, 1906, in Minnedosa, Manitoba.
We have been unable to definitively trace this line any further than Matthew and Lucy. If you have any information on this particular Lucy Shaw, I would be extremely grateful.
