I'm in the UK and have seen quite a few instances where brothers / sisters from one family married sisters / brothers from another family. I don't have any statistics to show how common it was, but it certainly happened. I'm talking about 1800s to early 1900s.
Do you have a particular case where this may have occurred that you are unsure about?
