Yes, there is a space for divorced - it is in the same column as widowed. Since she is living with her brother John L. Lunsford in the 1880 census, I would say she never married. John L. and family are in Norfolk, VA in the 1860 census, but I did not find Sarah. Nor did I find John L. or Sarah in 1870.
