I heartily agree.
Here's an example:
I searched for my 2nd great-grandmother in the census records on Ancestry and came up empty. She's in my Ancestry family trees, but I never got the little leaf hint. Within five minutes on the FamilySearch.org site, I not only found her in the census with her parents, but I also found a copy of her actual death certificate online.
And Missouri birth records didn't pop up for me on Ancestry either, but they're on Missouri's state archives site.
