Jim, a few years later than your original message, but my grandfather was also on the Leviathan during WWI and I, also, have photos. It would take me awhile to organize them but I would be happy to share copies. He died in 1928, before I was born. My mother says he was a 1st class carpenter's mate. Do any of your photos show a monkey? I have been told he was bringing home a monkey but it became mean and he had to get rid of it. His name was Clarence Edward Spracklen. I have his navy scarf.
Also, I found that Humphrey Bogart was on that same ship but not sure if it was at the same time as my grandfather.
I would enjoy hearing from others with information and photos.
By the way, his daughter (my mother) will be 93 yrs. of age on Oct. 1. She so loved her "Daddy" as she lost her mother to T.B. when she was 2 1/2 yrs.
