James Pendleton Lokey was my g-grandfather. He did indeed die June 28, 1911 in Brazos, TX. His father was also James Pendleton Lokey. Don't know the mother's name. He and his wife Margaret Carpenter had 8 children I believe. Amos Daniel must have been the A. D. (born 3/25/1878 in Mississippi, died in 1951. All but the youngest sister Mellie Jane, were born in MS (Tippah County for some at least). She was born in TX, and all apparently died in TX. Our James Pendleton Lokey also had a sister Amanda Melvinia (Mellie) married in December 1873 to Berry A. Carpenter, my g-grandmother's brother. If you want any more of JP's kids' names let me know. I don't know any other of his siblings' names, or where in Texas they all lived/died.
