A few years ago I discovered our family was related to the Johannes Schlegel and Elizabeth Sultser (Sulser, Sultzer) family who immigrated to the US in the 1800's. I have recently come into possession of photos, letters, and documents from their descendants. My grandmother was the daughter of "Lizzie" Schlegel of Alabama.
