The only connection that I have to the King family is
through Mary Lee King, who married Christopher Gustavus
Memminger 6/Jan/1886. He was the son of Rev. Robert Withers
Memminger, and the grandson of Christopher Gustavus Memminger, who was Secretary of the Confederat Treasurey.
They had a daughter, Christine Gustava, born 15/Jan/1887.
She is a member of the DAR ID#54677 and the GGGGgranddaughter of Henry Lee, signer of the Declaration of
Independence. I hope this helps a little.
