Going back to 1880, we would be looking (most likely in SC) for an SC-born Brunson girl, approximately 5 years old. In the Orangeburgh household of George W. and Sophia Brunson is 4-year-old Sophia Brunson, together with siblings Carrie S., Alexander, Mary N., George, and William.

This is interesting since Sophronia Brunson Judy named one of her own oldest daughters "Carrie".

So this family might be worth looking into further.
