The footstone specifically says he was a Captain with the Northhampton Co. Mil. during the Revolutionary War.

DAR is still the same status. Says it needs more proof. Weird someone would go to the trouble of putting a footstone on his grave with his Revolutionary War service and the DAR says you still have to prove it. Go figure.
