Hello,
In my family we have a cup with the inscription - Presented by Morgan, MacAulay & Waide to Henry Tomlinson Esq as a token of esteem for disinterested and valuble aid in conducting important negotiations 1877
Henry Tomlinson was my Great Grandfather and lived at Wickersley Grange , Morgan, MacAulay & Waide were Stove Grate Manufacturers at Batus Foundry in Rotherham.
Could you please help me to find out what the inscription refers to .
Many Thanks
Rhona Munro
