Elsecar Road is about midway between Brampton and West Melton. You can find it on Google Earth by searching for Elsecar Road, Rotherham. There is a row of cottages named Westfield Cottages but no sign of Fernlea Cottages. There were several mines nearby but the nearest Colliery would have been Cortonwood which dates from 1873 to 1985.
