Hi again, we have emailed before. In fact I think it was you that got me into the C18th.

I have to be honest, I can't be 100% sure I have the record straight. Basically, it looks like the Gothards often called their first born Benjamin and I think (but cannot be 100%) that I have the correct number of Benjamin Gothards going back through the Wentworth records. Of course I may have missed out some siblings on the way.

Would you like a copy of the tree so far (for all its faults)?

ps. I also found a reference to a Benjamin Gothard who was Churchwarden in the C18th in the Old Church History booklet. So someone must have got that information for the Churchwardens accounts
