I have been researching the Norman family from Rotherham and I have an ancestor John Norman that I believe married a Lydia Ridgeway daughter of William Ridgway in the late 1700's date unknown. I am not certain if the Ridgeways came from Rotherham but I think they did.

They had numerous children starting in 1792 as far as I can determine with William Norman, who became a chemist in Rotherham.
