Walter is in my family tree (several Walters) but in another branch but eventually links to the distant ancestor. My great grandfather was James Hargreaves who married Sarah Jane Speight and they lived at Hoober Stand in the cottages. His daughter Florence was my grandmother and she married George Ernest Palmer and their daughter Una was my mother.

At the moment I am tidying up the whole file and this is proving to be a mammoth task as most of my research was done many years' ago at the archives. Now that I have the information at my 'fingertipe' on the internet my progress has been astonishing!
