I wondered if any one out there had any information about the Rodgers family from Kiveton Park.
John (Jack) and Emma Rodgers moved there in 1880, John went to work at Kiveton pit. They had about 9 children Gertrude, Alfred, Walter, Jonas, Mary, Emma, John, Elizabeth and Rodah and some of their desendants still live in the area. I know Gertrude married a Moses Butler, Mary married into the Spacey family and Rodah's husband was the warden that looked after the Major Oak in Sherwood.
