Charlotte NAIL married John BAILEY on 31 Oct 1844. They had two children: Dorothy Ann, born 17 Jan 1846, and Charlotte Olive, born 12 Jun 1848.

Mother Charlotte died 29 Jul 1848 and Charlotte Olive died 7 Sep 1848. These names and dates were written in the Bailey Bible, which was owned by a descendant in Arkansas when I got the photocopy of the page many years ago.

I have no idea who Charlotte Nail's parents were or where she came from, and I would really like to! I think that Charlotte possibly did die from childbirth complications six weeks or so after her youngest daughter was born.

I THINK that Nancy BUTLER Nail's sister was Sarah Butler, who was Jonathan Bailey's first wife. Jonathan was John Bailey's uncle. I would like to confirm this theory as well.
