HEBRON, Ohio: A funeral service for Geraldine "Jerry" (Brigner) Sites, age 83, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Jerry passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born January 18, 1927 in Piketon, Ohio to the late Martin Ervin and Hazel Marie (Shonkwiler) Brigner.

Jerry was a member of Hebron Christian Church, and past member of Hebron TOPS Club #793. She retired from the Buckeye Lake Post Office as a clerk.

She is survived by children, Ervin L. "Sonny" (Kei) Sites of North Carolina, Jeannette M. Koehler of Hebron, Ohio, Martin P. (Lennis) Sites of Tennessee and Vivian K. (David) Dernberger of Hebron; grandchildren, Lee (Sandy) Koehler, Jennifer Koehler, David Dernberger II, Seilienah Dawson, Sherry Sites and Angela (Matt) Cornett; great-grandchildren, Kaycee Dernberger, Wesley and Wyatt Cornett, Billy Dawson, Lexi Boyd, Steven (Tracy) Jenkins, Raymond (Jennifer) Jenkins, Tashina (Jay) Justice, Brian Gettis and Chad Inman; great-great-grandchildren, Kiley Jenkins, Cailyn Brown and Noah Justice; brother, John Brigner of Colorado; sisters-in-law, Laura Folden of Hebron, Lillian Sites of Baltimore, Ohio, Mary Ellen Brigner of Grove City, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leslie P. "Cotton" Sites, whom she married June 6, 1945 and who passed away October 17, 2009; brothers, Weldon Brigner and Glen Brigner.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 on Thursday, September 9, at the funeral home, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.
