My brother Donald uncovered the following info somewhere on the web. This was the Great Grandfather I never met.

"John Sutherland of Wick, Caithness in Scotland, married Willamina Dunbar from the same area, and they emigrated to South Africa, ending up in Colesberg, and having a bunch of chldren, on of whom was John David Dunbar Sutherland

John married one Sofie Eliza Gates, and in 1920 she gave birth to a daughter, Joan Lexie Sutherland." That was my mother.

Can anyone send me more info on them?
