Nicholas Carpenter is my 4th Gr-grand-father. His daughter, Margaret C. married John J. Brown who was one of the founders of the Hacker Creek area. That is my link.
It is hard to pinpoint info. on Nicholas Carpenter, since there appears to have been two with that name in the area, at that time.
But, if this link could be nailed the LDS site shows many dozens of generations beyond him. The problem is that link of Nicholas.
