John Laurence (Lawrence)b.Jan.9, 1760 moved to Gwinnett County, GA around 1820 from NC or SC. Sons: George, Thomas, Silas, Martin, Milton and Jackson. One daughter: Lucy.
George moved to Paulding Co., GA.; Martin and Milton moved to Walker Co., GA. Silas and Jackson stayed in Gwinnett County until their deaths. Don't know what happened to Thomas. Lucy married Asa Wade, Jr. and died young.
John Laurence served in the Revolutionary War. Proof was his pension.
I was given the family bible by my mother, Helen Lawrence.
