I just stumbled on your posting. My great-grandfather was Daniel Schaefer (Schaeffer)b. abt 1843 d. 1917 and resided in Cleveland. His wife was Emma Augustine. I've been unable to discover anything else about him except he came from Germany (Baden) in 1866. My grandfather, Geoge Warren Schaefer, and my father George Leonard Schaefer were both born in Cleveland. Any connection?
