Hello; I am sorry but I can not be of much help. There are also Jonathon Edwards in NY State but I have not connected them to my branch of the Edwards family. In talking to other Edwards researchers some doubt that the man who fough in VT was 'my' Adonijah.

Barb McGee of Salt Lake City, Utah and Glenda Moser were the two ladies, I found to be the most willing to share information with. There is or was a Thomas Edwards site on My Family researching this line. When I had a knee replacement several years ago I was cut out of the loop so I do not know if it is still functioning. Barb McGee wrote a book that is full of information on the family of Rufus Edwards & other Edwards of the Connecticut Western Reserve of Ohio.
