yes I grew up being told by my dad Joseph Albert Linnie Murphy that our greatest grandfather was James Murphey son of Alexander Murphey from Philadelphia Pennsylvania was our greatest grandfather by son William Murphy Murphey and that Col Archibald Murphey reported William dead with out children and reported James Murphey son of alexander Murphey 1690 or so dead with out any children James was killed in REV war in 1781 in the battle of eutaw springs SC.
